2018 is shaping up to be a big year for chango. Our team has been working hard to craft a cryptopayment system that is easy-to-use, secure, and encourages the further adoption of digital currencies. While we’ve come a long way, we also recognize that our journey is far from over. However, 2018 is going to shape things to come.
Is a piece of software ever truly finished, or does it continue to evolve indefinitely? Software that remains useful will usually change over time to meet new needs and to incorporate new technologies. Consider the evolution of your favorite operating system: Mac, Windows, Linux or otherwise, operating systems have changed over the years.
As developers, we spend a lot of time thinking about the evolution of software programs. Over time, new features are added, old features are improved, interfaces are polished, and weaknesses are addressed. chango will be a fully-powered and secure cryptopayment platform right from the get-go, but we plan to add more features in the near future.
Through the first quarter of 2018 we have:
- Launched the chango.tech website.
- Ramped up our marketing efforts, including social media (and yes, blogging).
- Reached out to influencers and industry experts to establish relationships.
- Presented our product to new investors and partners.
chango has also launched a beta-release of our software platform. As developers, we strive to build intuitive and useful apps built on clean, lightweight code. This means we spend a lot of time tinkering.
Come Q2, the chango app will go public. The app will initially allow for fingerprint authentication and will important contacts from your phone book, making it easy to both verify and send payments. In addition, Q2 will see:
- Increase advertising and outreach, culminating with a marketing video.
- Share technical insights via Medium and other channels.
- Organize a developer meet-up.
- Source feedback from public users.
Q2 is most certainly going to be an exciting time for us. Launching a live software platform can be nerve racking, to say the least. However, we’re excited to get the Chango app into the hands of real world users. chango will make it much easier to manage and send cryptopayments, which should help encourage adoption.
Speaking of which, as Q3 rolls around, the chango app will be expanding to support more cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin introduced the world to cryptocurrencies, but there are many crypto options outside of bitcoin.
In Q3, we’re also going to be looking for another financing round and will be looking to establish more partnerships. chango looks forward to contributing to the cryptocurrency community and helping it expand and evolve. Along the way, we expect to learn a lot more about our customers, the crypto market, and everything else.
Needless to say, it’s shaping up to be an exciting year. Digital currencies have made for great investments. However, it’s been difficult to integrate cryptocurrencies into daily life, say splitting the tab at a pub or buying real-world goods. chango will make doing so much easier.
